Tony Abbott Completely in Favour of Corporate Interference in Education

Jun 23rd 2014

The education system in Australia will soon see a new education model that is supposed to help improve the quality of education in the country. While it is true that students are receiving necessary facilities at schools and colleges, and they have access to online resources, where they can learn and hire essay writers in Australia, there is always a room for improvement. That's probably the reason why the federal government has shown interest in introducing an Americanized education system in Australia.

As per the new education system, the schools will work in partnership with big companies where these companies will use their own resources to train students and give them first priorities when it comes times for hiring new people in their companies. The same system is running quite successful in the United States where a school in Brooklyn, New York is working with the help of computer giant IBM.

The main aim is to offer students with 4-year of high school as well as a couple of years of a tertiary degree. The students can graduate with an associate in applied science degree – this will allow them to get entry-level jobs in the Information Technology sector. In this education system, the government does all the funding, but the professionals at IBM mentors the students and determine the best curriculum for them.

The Prime Minister Tony Abbott believes the same system can work exceptionally well in Australia, but this has received immediate criticism from unions and the Greens – they believe it is just not right to let big businesses decide what to include in the curriculum. It is true that Australia enjoys a proud history of an impressive public education sector, but all this may well change in the near future.
