How to Organize Your Holiday Time
The holidays are coming, so we're getting ready for Coca Cola commercials in winter setting. Wait; we're in Australia. We're not in the middle of the winter, so people from the other side of the world think it's hard for us to get into the holiday spirit. They are wrong, because we have a great advantage: we can travel and enjoy the great weather!
You decided to use this time for traveling? That's great! So many things to do, so little time on your hands. How will you ever manage to see all landmarks, eat in the nicest restaurants, explore the place, and enjoy the nightlife at your chosen destination? Do you have enough time for everything? You do! There are 24 hours in a day, and guess what: all tourists get those same 24 hours. The question is: how well will you use them?
We have some tips that will help you organize your holiday time really effectively.
Take care of all responsibilities before you leave
You don't want that research paper hanging over your head while you're on a holiday. Before you leave, make sure you take care of all paper writing, and pay the bills. If you have a part-time job, then ask the boss if there's anything they would like you to do before leaving.
It's important to be completely free when you're on a holiday.
Pinterest is your best buddy when it comes to planning and organizing vacations. Create a special board for this adventure. Start searching for recommendations and pin the resources you find useful.
Then, use that board to make a plan. For example, you'll be using day 1 to find your room and get used to it, eat something nice, take a long walk around the place at night, and a get good rest. From day 2, you can start exploring all landmarks according to the plan.
Rent a motorbike
Public transport is okay, but it can get really messy. You'll have to wait for the busses to pick you up, and you'll have to plan your time according to the transportation schedule. Renting a car is okay, too. But, it's rather expensive and you'll have parking horror to deal with.
Motorbikes are great! They are cool, easy to handle, and affordable. Plus, a motorbike gives you a sense of liberty. You feel the wind on your face, and all scents and sounds around you. That experience makes you feel alive!
Get a book
What's a vacation without a book, anyway? Sitting all day at a café, having cocktails and conversations with your friends is fun. For a day… maybe it will be fun for two or three days. Then, the routine will become boring. A book, on the other hand, never gets boring. It gets you into a progressive adventure and it makes a holiday memorable.
When you have the right book in your hands, you won't be the lame one saying “when are we going, guys?” Don't worry; you'll still have time to see different places and do all things on your list. But, when you sit and rest, you'll be doing that with style.
Make a list of presents. Get the presents!
It's holiday season. Your friends and family want you to have a good time, but they will also appreciate getting a lovely present from you. It doesn't have to be anything expensive; we know you're on a budget. But, you can get some nice fridge magnets magnets, spices, fancy tea, or local products they can't buy in their hometown.
What's the best way to get a good rest during the holidays and do something useful in the meantime? If you were in New York, we would say “sit by the fire, get tons of wine and cheese, and spend the holiday with the people you love.” If you're in Australia, the holidays can be way more fun. The best way to use this time is to travel and experience life as much as you possibly can. Ho ho ho!Read all posts
